Summary
The report analyzes legislation and policy making in "trafficking related" areas in the EU member states. The aim of the report is to show how legislation on prostitution and other areas can have an effect on the trafficking situation in a given country. Furthermore the report offers guidance and information on how member states can improve their response to Human trafficking.
The report gives an overview over existing quantitative and qualitative data available in the area of sexual exploitation, and it reviews existing legislation and national legal framework, directly relevant to the field of trafficking. Furthermore the report looks in to the implementation of national legislation in regards to the market of sexual services, and it offers definitions of various concepts within the field. The report suggests possible relations between national legislation and the field of trafficing and gives recommendations to the member states on how to improve responses and legislation in areas related to Human trafficking.
