- Summary
- This report examines the different sectors of private industry, identifying the individuals and groups involved and their efforts in eliminating CSEC or, in some cases, perpetuating it. Although the obstacles or concerns of each project will be reviewed, the central focus of the study will remain on "best practices" and "lessons learned"; in particular, the use of corporate social responsibility tools to reduce the incidence of commercial sexual exploitation of children within the respective industries will be explored. The emphasis on positive outcomes will hopefully demonstrate that good work can indeed be accomplished through an acknowledgement of the problem, coupled with a determination to make a difference in the lives of children.
