Summary
What is an action plan? An action plan outlines a set of principles to be followed in dealing with a particular issue. While action plans are often used by governments to formulate strategies for tackling social issues, such as poverty or racism, they can also call on other groups to take action, such as police officers, prosecutors, and judges; teachers; journalists; members of non-governmental and international governmental organizations. It is important to remember that an action plan is not binding legislation. While an action plan aims to improve the lives of individuals, it does not confer any legal rights upon anyone.
