Summary
The Fund is:
- replenished from voluntary contributions by Governments, non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and other private or public entities;
- administered in accordance with the financial regulations and rules of the United Nations, by the Secretary-General, so ensuring accountability to donors;
- supported in its programme by a five-member Board of Trustees drawn from all five geographical regions, who have expertise in human rights and particularly in contemporary forms of slavery; - established by the United Nations General Assembly and serviced by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights in Geneva.
