Summary
The Daphne Programme has become well known across the globe for its focus on learning and sharing lessons to improve support to vulnerable groups and protect them from all sorts of violence. This series of Daphne Booklets, launched in 2006, aims to bring together some of those lessons. Each paper gives an overview of the issue, the legal and policy framework in Europe and the results of the Daphne experience. The Daphne Booklets are another example of the European Commission sharing knowledge and experience, and prompting debate and refl ection on some of the most important social topics facing Europe today.
