- Summary
- Inspired by court transcripts and actual events, THE JAMMED is a social thriller about trafficking and the sex slave trade in Melbourne. It deals with three women who've arrived in Australia and found themselves caught up in the sex slave industry. Crystal has traveled from Shanghai believing she was going to be employed as an exotic dancer, Vanya is from Eastern Europe, while Rubi is a Chinese girl, whose mother Sunee has come to Australia to search for her. Melbourne-based insurance company worker Ashley unwittingly finds herself helping Sunee with her investigation. Together they enter a dangerous world that's filled with unexpected twists. As the story unravels the sinister workings of illegal prostitution and governmental deportation is filled with surprises.
