Summary
Every three years the Global Alliance Against Traffic in Women (GAATW) organises a thematic conference and a members congress. The 2005-7 programme of GAATW was aimed to carry out a multi-country research to analyse the human rights impact of anti-trafficking initiatives, begin a critical discussion among the membership on various aspects of anti-trafficking work with a view to find collective solutions to the challenges faced and to strengthen the alliance by ensuring adequate coordination among its various components such as the membership, the secretariat and the board. These recommendations are the outcome of the confrence working sessions which focused on the Impact of Anti Trafficking Measures on Human Rights around the World and Access to Justice for Trafficked Persons and Migrant Workers.
