- Summary
- The EU Action Plan on Best Practices, Standards and Procedures for Combating and Preventing Trafficking in Human Beings was developed within the framework of the Hague Programme, which in Section 1.7.1 required the Commission and the Council to develop in 2005 a plan with a view to the development of common standards, best practices and mechanisms to prevent and combat trafficking in human beings. It was endorsed by the European Council in November 2005.
