- The Hospitality Sector is marked by low wages, long hours,short-term and part-time contracts, and a lack of job security, especially for seasonal and temporary migrant and undocumented workers on which the sector largely depends. LSI is also part of the EU-funded HOST project, which works to prevent and combat sexual and labour exploitation of third-country national workers in highly touristic areas. The statement sets out key recommendations, including better information for workers and employers, safe reporting and support services, stronger labour protections, targeted capacity building, and the creation of safe and legal migration pathways.
