- Summary
On 16 February 2023, the EESC organised a remote public hearing on the revision of the anti-trafficking directive. The input collected from the different speakers should feed into the EESC opinion on the issue. The International Coordinator of La Strada Internatonal was invited to speak at the event. In her presentation she reacted on the amendment proposal by the European Commission and also highlighted what La Strada International would like to see changed in order to strenghten trafficked persons' rights.
