- Summary
This second Global Report on forced labour aims to do the following:
-Explain how the concept is defined in international law and dis- cusses some parameters for identifying contempo- rary forced labour situations in practice.
-Provide the first minimum global es- timate of the numbers of people in forced labour by an international organization, broken down by geographical region and by form of forced labour.
-Give a dynamic global picture of con- temporary patterns of forced labour, and of ac- tion to eradicate it.
-Review the ILO’s assistance to member States for the eradication of forced labour – some of it implemented together with other international organizations.
