Summary
This Report on prostitution laws in the European Union presents very synthetically the laws that govern prostitution in 27 EU member states (Croatia not included), following a description of the phenomenon in its different realities based on sociological sources. Where the actual policies are known to markedly differ from the written law, this fact has been signalled. Nevertheless, as the laws about prostitution do not change at a high pace, the report should be considered sufficiently reliable for the majority of the 27 EU member states (before 1st July 2013, when Croatia joined the Union).
